Many of you know me from my numerous articles on the worldwide web. I’m professional real estate developer Isaac Toussie, with several years’ experience in the industry. I share my personal and professional insights, wisdom gleaned from first-hand knowledge working in residential realty. But have you ever considered why I do it? Why should anyone spend time spreading their hard-won expertise around?
Two words: article marketing. It’s about establishing an online presence to further my professional goals. It’s a kind of soft promotion, a classic win-win situation whereby I can get the word out about myself and my services while benefiting someone who could use my perspective. And so I’ll be spending the rest of this article speaking about the advantages that you too might gain by engaging in your own bit of article marketing online, especially where it concerns real estate.

So, with that out of the way, let’s get back to real estate article marketing online.
Article marketing is the act of publishing articles for strategic marketing purposes. That bit of tax advice you get every year in the media, or those home-cooking recipes each Thanksgiving coming from some celebrity chef? That’s the gist of article marketing, where industry professionals provide free advice, free because it costs the newspaper or radio station nothing to produce, advice that benefits readers and listeners, putting them in a good mood and associating that mood with the chef or tax adviser. In other words, it associates the positive feelings engendered by helpful advice with the person or company providing that advice.
Creating articles on real estate online has helped me reach an audience many times more than even paid advertising can, and it’s let me do it for almost no money at all, save the time it took to write (when you consider that time is money, et cetera).
You can add such an approach to your existing real estate marketing efforts. Word for word, not to mention dollar for dollar, articles simply have a much greater reach than advertisements. And good articles have a viral quality, which further increases your reach. Being articles, they also have a whole lot more credibility than even the most cunningly crafted advertisement.
